Nobivac® Tricat + CHL is a modified live virus vaccine recommended for vaccination of healthy cats and kittens against disease caused by feline viral rhinotracheitis virus, feline calicivirus, feline panleukopenia virus and Chlamydia psittaci.
Storage Instructions:
- Store in the dark between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not freeze.
- Avoid prolonged or repetitive exposure to high ambient temperatures following withdrawal from the refrigerator prior to use.
- Protect from direct sunlight.
- Diluent: Store at room temperature below 25 °C.
Composition:
Nobivac® Tricat + CHL is a modified live virus vaccine containing attenuated strains of feline rhinotracheitis (strain G2620), feline calicivirus (strain F9), feline panleukopenia virus (strain MW-1) and Chlamydia psittaci (strain Baker).
Contents: Each dose of Nobivac® Tricat + CHL vaccine contains at least:
- 105.7 TCID50/dose Feline rhinotracheitis virus
- 105.4 TCID50/dose Feline calicivirus
- 105.2 TCID50/dose Feline panleukopenia virus
- 103.5 TCID50/dose Chlamydia psittaci
- Residual amounts of Gentamycin present.
- The vaccine is presented in a freeze-dried form with sterile diluent provided for reconstitution.
Warnings:
- Do not freeze.
- Destroy any unused, reconstituted vaccine, empty vaccine containers, needles, etc., by for instance burning, after the completion of the vaccination.
- Do not open and reconstitute the vaccine until ready to start the vaccination.
- Use the vaccine immediately after reconstitution.
- Do not store partially used vaccine containers for future use.
- Do not mix the vaccine with other vaccines or other products.
- Use according to the number of doses as indicated on the label.
- Keep out of reach of children and uninformed persons.
- Although this vaccine has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, notify the registration holder.
Precautions:
- Vaccinate healthy kittens and cats only. Animals incubating any disease or stressed due to transportation, malnutrition or parasitism, may not achieve or maintain adequate immune response.
- Ensure that the vaccination equipment (needles, syringes, etc) is clean and sterile prior to use.
- Ensure that all the vaccination equipment remains clean and sterile during the vaccination.
- Use only non-chemically sterilized vaccination equipment.
- It is good vaccination practice when handling the vaccine to avoid contact with the eyes, hands and clothing.
Pregnancy:
Do not vaccinate pregnant queens.
Directions for Use:
- Use only as directed.
- Aseptically reconsitute the freeze-dried vaccine with the sterile diluent provided.
- Shake well after the addition of the diluent. The contents of the vial must be used immediately after reconstitution.
- The dose is 1 ml by the subcutaneous route.
Dosage and Administration:
Kittens: Vaccinate at 8 weeks and repeat 3 – 4 weeks later. If kittens are older than 8 weeks, vaccinate immediately and again 3 – 4 weeks later.
Annual re-vaccination with a single dose is recommended.
Vaccination Reactions:
- No known undesirable vaccine reaction after a single dose treatment.
- Epinephrine may be indicated in the event of an anaphylactic reaction.
Presentation:
3 ml vials (containing a single dose) with sterile diluent.
